Hearts of Gold Parade

Valleyfest kicks off as always with our Hearts of Gold Parade on Friday, Sept. 25, at 7:30 PM - after the Lions Club Bed Races. The Hearts of Gold Parade has been a centerpiece of Valleyfest since our first year in 1990. It continues to recognize those in the Valley who give back to the community and their, ‘hearts of gold.’

Staging for the evening parade is at the New Life Church on E. Sprague Ave. near University Rd. and proceeds east to disband at the Opportunity Shopping Center. Sprague Ave. will be closed between Pines Rd. and University Rd. at 6 p.m. to accommodate the parade. Plan accordingly to avoid obstacles!

On your way to the parade watch the 2nd annual Lions Club Bed Races catch the pre-parade entertainment, or eat dinner and support our local businesses.

Street Closure

Sprague Avenue will close Friday night at 6:00 p.m. between University and Bowdish Rd.
Bowdish to Pines will close at 6:30 p.m. Scope volunteers and the Spokane Valley Police Department are available to assist with access concerns regarding, employees, customers, and deliveries. The VMS trailers will be in place on Sprague Tuesday with the road closure information. The reader board will read Road Closed from 6-10 pm.
