Watching the Parade

Where: Eastbound on Sprague Avenue between University Road and Pines Road, City of Spokane Valley

We showcase the businesses and residents of the City of Spokane Valley with the Hearts of Gold Parade. Over 10,000 people join restaurants, businesses, and live entertainment along the parade route. There are sidewalk sale, promotions, and dinner specials and new this year are Lions Club Bed Races at 6:30 p.m. in front of Appleway Florist.

Event Schedule

Amenities include PortaPotties along the route.
Attendees will see entertainers along the route such as clowns and street performers to entertain the crowd.

Pre Parade Rally and Cruise at 7:15 p.m.

5:30 p.m. Parade Check In Starts at New Life Church.

6:30 p.m. Lions Club Bed Races in front of Appleway Florist

Street Closure

Street Closure: Sprague Avenue will close Friday night at 6:00 p.m. between University and Bowdish Rd.
Bowdish to Pines will close at 6:30 p.m. Scope volunteers and the Spokane Valley Police Department are available to assist with access concerns regarding, employees, customers, and deliveries. The VMS trailers will be in place on Sprague Tuesday with the road closure information. The reader board will read Road Closed from 6-10 pm.

Valleyfest works closely with the Spokane Valley Fire Department and the City of Spokane Valley Police Department to insure the safety and comfort of those attending the parade and the businesses along the route. Therefore, safety cones are placed by your entry driveway to alert patrons and those attending of the driveway hazards. Those barricades and cones are picked up immediately after the parade by the Valleyfest volunteers.

We need many types of volunteers to help out BEFORE, DURING and AFTER the parade has finished at Pines Ave.
