The Step UP for Down Syndrome Walk (formerly known as the Buddy Walk) was developed as a way to reach out to friends, family, and co-workers to promote awareness and inclusion for people with Down syndrome. It is also designed to raise funds for local and national education, research and advocacy programs.

Ds Connections Nw is hosting the 4th annual Step UP for Down Syndrome Walk at Discover Park, in the Spokane Valley. It is an easy, one mile walk in which anyone can participate without special training.

It is also designed to raise funds for local and national education, research and advocacy programs. Nearly 500 walkers participated in our 2011 event and, over $13,000 was raised! Join us this year in making the 2012 Step UP for Down Syndrome Walk an even bigger celebration.

5k/10k Run for Cause

A percentage of the proceeds from the 2013 Valleyfest 5K/10K Run for a Cause will benefit education, research and advocacy programs for Down Syndrome.

The Valleyfest annual run for a cause will benefit education, research, and advocacy programs for Down Syndrome. The run starts and finishes at Mirabeau Point Park South Centennial Trail Head and takes runners east along the beautiful Centennial Trail. There is a timed 5K and 10K run, as well as a dash for kids and a walk that travels west so runners and walkers do not cross paths.

Registration for the run is $15 before Sept 20.
$25 late fee if registered after September 20, 2013

A percentage of the proceeds go toward Down Syndrome Connections of the Inland Northwest. Registration can be completed online or by completing the form above.
