Valleyfest, Spokane Valley’s premier community festival, celebrates three decades of bringing fun, entertainment, and a vibrant community spirit to Spokane Valley. Christopher Lee Anderson.

Christopher Lee Anderson is a very talented 11-year-old and is an accomplished violinist and
pianist. He started to play the violin shortly before his 3rd birthday and began to play the piano a
year later. People recognized him for his performances for large crowds at festivals, events, fairs,
Spokane Indians, and many corporate events. He has been featured on television, radio station,
and newspapers. He will treat you to incredible, lively music to enjoy!

Quiero Flamenco.

Founded in 2017, Quiero Flamenco was created to bring Flamenco to the Inland Northwest.  To date, Quiero has produced a theater performance annually with 2019’s show (Flamenco Aire) receiving a Spokane Arts grant and taking place at the Bing Crosby Theater.  The theater shows include both local performers and some of the top Flamenco musicians and dancers from around the world.
At Valleyfest you will be able to see excerpts from their upcoming show Rising Tide featuring five local female choreographers. We look forward to seeing you at Valleyfest and at The Bing Theater on September 28th and 29th.

Seterra Bell.

Seterra is a singer-songwriter and spoken word artist native to Spokane. They have performed at various local events and venues and are excited to perform at Valleyfest for the 6th year.

Natanam School of Dance.

Natanam Dance School teaches South Indian dancing, called Bharatanatyam as well as Bollywood. Devika Gates (founder of Natanam Dance School) has studied Kalakshetra style Bharatanatyam and was one of the first Bharatanatyam students to successfully complete her Arangetram in the Pacific Northwest. sidetrack.

Sidetrack is a five-piece multi-instrumental dance and listening band with a great beat. They play country rock, western, blues, rock-n-roll, and many original tunes.  The features Dave MvRae on acoustic guitar, harmonica, and vocals. Michael Robinson on electric guitar and vocals. Phil Kleinman on pedal steel, lap steel, and electric guitars. Ron Green and bass and vocals, and Rick Singer on drums.  The band has been together since 2002 and has played at numerous festivals, concerts, and clubs.

La Hau La performs the very popular Vietnamese Lion Dance.  The Lion Dance is a style of traditional Vietnamese performance. The dance mimics a lion’s movement with the hope to bring good luck and fortune. Lions are sacred animals that represent power.

Porch Rockers.

Front Porch Rockers play music you remember from the lexicon of recorded music including folk, jazz, rock, novelty, seasonal, and songs for kids.  Music makers include Steve Simmons, guitar and vocals; Rick Singer, percussion instruments; Steven Sackett,  bass and vocals plus multi-instrumentalist Phil Kleinman.

Spokane Taiko, is a dynamic drum and percussion ensemble performing traditional Japanese Taiko songs and originals! After their performance, they will invite children for a hands-on experience, showing them how to play the big drums!

Filipino-American Association of the Inland Empire.

“Silangan” is derived from the Tagalog word for “East” or “the direction of the rising sun.” Similarly, the Filipino-American Association of the Inland Empire takes great pride in introducing the “Silangan Dancers.” These dancers infuse brightness into people’s lives through their captivating performances, exuding charm and grace in every step they take. They take joy in showcasing a variety of Philippine folk dances that celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines.

Integrity Martial Arts Demonstration Team.

Integrity Martial Arts is a martial arts school in central Spokane. The demonstration team is composed of students and instructors, with experience ranging from 3 months to over 30 years. Dancers from the Korean Language School will provide a performance to popular K-Pop songs. K-Pop’s popularity has grown around the world and is now a big part of Korean youth culture. SWF has performed at Winterfest at Northtown Mall and at various libraries and other events around Spokane.

Join us for a more formal celebration of the city’s 20th anniversary at about 5 p.m. on the West Lawn at Centerplace. Recognition of our current and former elected officials, 20th Anniversary Committee members, birthday cake, and other festivities! The city is sponsoring two bands to keep the party rolling: The Kevin Shay Band at 5:30 p.m. and Nu Jack City at 8:00 p.m. Come and celebrate with us!

Spokane All City Jazz.

Spokane All-City Jazz Ensembles is a local educational organization led by jazz educators and performers to teach the joy of jazz to high school and middle school students.  SAJE was established in 2003 and has helped hundreds of students to develop their skills as jazz soloists.  Students perform in small group jazz combos with the help of their coaches and receive seasonal workshops from out-of-town, sometimes famous or iconic guest artists through Imagine Jazz.

Cheryl Branz.

Cheryl was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and has paid her musical dues through years in school choirs, community choirs, church choirs, a cappella choirs, musicals, performing for weddings and funerals, and even singing backup in a band. She holds a Vocal Performance Music Minor from the University of Northern Colorado.

Pamela Benton.

Pamela  Benton is dynamic, versatile, and one of the finest soloists in the Inland Northwest. She is a singer/songwriter, producer, recording engineer, and multi-talented instrumentalist. She will be playing electric violin, lead and rhythm electric guitar, and singing a variety of Pop, Rock, Country, Blues, Jazz, and Original music.  Pamela delights audiences wherever she performs.

Spokane Chinese Dance Group.

The Spokane Chinese Dance Group (SCDG) was established more than 20 years ago under the auspices of the Spokane Chinese Association (SCA). The primary objective of the SCDG is to showcase and promote the immense richness, depth, and diversity of Chinese culture through the medium of classical folk dance.

coeurimba.

This Coeur d’Alene marimba group has been performing since the 1980s. Although some Coeurimba faces have changed along the way, they play the traditional, upbeat music as the masters taught them and have added some Western pieces that will get your toes tapping and feet moving with the intriguing rhythms.
